You bought the keyboard years ago. It still sounds like furniture.

You heard the melody. You felt where it lifts. You knew exactly why the piece was beautiful.

But when you sat at the keys, it came out halting, or wrong, or one hand at a time, and you were never quite sure what to fix.

You do not need years of drills.
You need a real piece of music in your hands and someone to show you what to listen for.

Imagine sitting down, knowing exactly where your hands go, what comes next, and how to make it sound the way it sounds in your head.

In six months, you'll know how to listen for what matters, read what the page is telling you, and put your hands on the keys with confidence.

You'll leave with five real classical pieces in your hands, music you can sit down and play when someone asks, and a way of learning that carries you into the next piece on your own.

THE CURRICULUM

Inside Piano through Classics

Those five steps run through six focused modules.

MODULE 1

Unlocks December 1

Joy to the World

Your first real song. Finding the notes, the C scale, and the finger crossing most beginners get wrong

MODULE 2

Unlocks December 29

Minuet in G

Both hands reading. Left-hand notes, soft and loud, short and smooth, and learning a piece in sections on your own

MODULE 3

Unlocks January 12

Sonatina in G

1st movement

Real two-hand music. A moving left hand under a singing melody, and keeping the melody the star

MODULE 4

Unlocks January 26

Sonatina in G

2nd movement

The swaying one. Jumping between notes by ear, not by hunting, and a rhythm that rocks in sixes, like a boat on water

MODULE 5

Unlocks February 9

Prelude in C Major

The one that sounds harder than it is. Chords that move, the pedal, and reading patterns ahead instead of note by note

MODULE 6

Unlocks March 9

Für Elise

The piece everyone wants to play. Both hands, start to finish, fluently. You'll know it the moment you hear it.

YOUR GUIDE

Hi, I’m Aviva.
I learned piano the hard way..

I've been playing since 1996, and for years I needed to know the reason behind every step. Most teachers skipped them. I was told to practice and have it finished by next lesson, and I'd go home not knowing how. So I figured it out at the keys, one piece at a time.

Everything changed when I started asking why.  Why slow practice? Why listen before you touch the keys? Once I had the answers, learning a piece stopped being a mystery and became a path I could walk.

I've taught students since 2012, and my lessons have moved a long way from the boring exercises I grew up on. Piano through Classics is the calm, practical course I wish I'd had when I began: real music from week one, and the reasons behind every step.

See you at the piano,

Aviva

“Learning piano through classical music with Aviva has been a joy. The method of listening, singing and playing provided me with all of the tools necessary to play actual pieces of music. Being able to perform Sonatina in G major has given me the confidence to move forward with other exciting pieces of music.”

Greg J.

“I learned to play Für Elise and feel the emotion in the piece which served as a wonderful escape to a hectic day!”

Jane M.

They started where you are.

Greg's story

FROM TWO YEARS OF SCALES TO A REAL PIECE ON DAY ONE

Greg took piano in college for two years. He learned scales and chords, and never once played a real piece.

In his first lesson with Aviva he opened real music. He learned to listen to it first, then sing it, then put his hands on the keys, and he went home knowing exactly what to practice.

Today he's playing Sonatina in G, real two-hand music with a moving left hand under a singing melody and he's enjoying the process as much as the piece.

“Being able to play a song after our first lesson was very exciting. Playing scales has it's place in the learning process, but actually playing real music is my goal. Aviva has chosen pieces of music that allow a student to learn the technical aspects of piano while playing actual music”

Greg J.

Jane’s story

FROM NO TIME TO PRACTICE TO FÜR ELISE IN HER FIRST YEAR

Jane is a nursery teacher with four kids and several pets at home. She loved classical music, but between work and family there was never a free hour to learn piano.

Practicing in the small gaps of her day she learned Prelude in C and Für Elise in her first year of lessons, reading the music and playing with both hands.

“I learned to play Für Elise and feel the emotion in the piece which served as a wonderful escape to a hectic day!”
